Dads of Monterey County
Dads of Monterey County is an inclusive community open to all fathers, fathers-to-be and prospective fathers included. We organize a variety of programs to provide opportunities for masculine-identified individuals to socialize, learn, and support each other as we navigate parenthood.
We meet once a month during the week from 6pm to 8pm at The InterContinental The Clement Monterey. Bring the kids and join us by the fire pits. Small appetizers will be ordered. If you want something more, please bring cash, debit, or credit cards.
There are a lot of online spaces that center mothers but there are very few spaces, specifically, for fathers. If you can't make it to any of our monthly meetups or other events, joining our Facebook group is another great way to connect with other dads in the area.
Dads Read at the Little Kid Block Party
At the beginning of the The Friends of the Marina Library's Little Kid Block Party, a local dad from Families of Color Monterey County and Dads of Monterey County will read a few specially selected kids' books featuring protagonists of color. Sponsored by The Friends of the Marina Library; join us as we celebrate our families! One month isn’t enough time to explore the wide range of stories that exist but we intend to try.
Help us apply for nonprofit 501(c)(3) status! We have a minimum of $2500 in major donations in progress that require a tax deduction to be completed. If you've got it like that, please consider donating to help cover the fees associated with the application process for becoming nonprofit. Any amount helps!
