March's Bike Clinic

For those interested, here's some data on March's Bike Clinic at Ord Terrace Elementary School in Seaside that took place on March 4, 11, and 18:

  • 45 (adults + their children) total individuals attended.
  • 21 kids registered.
  • 5 were new attendees.
  • 16 were returning attendees.
  • 8 were on pedal bikes.
  • 11 kids bought bikes.
  • 12 kids borrowed bikes.
  • 3 kids bought helmets.
  • the youngest child attending was 21-months-old.
  • the oldest child attending was 9-years-old.
  • 9 kids were siblings.
  • the youngest parent attending was 27-years-old.
  • the oldest parent attending was 49-years-old.
  • 1 parent was pregnant.
  • two grandparents were in attendance.
  • 20+ rides were given/taken on our Xtracycle Cargo Node (family cargo bike).
  • registrants are from Seaside, Monterey, Salinas, Marina, Santa Cruz, Castroville, Watsonville, and Prunedale.
  • attendees self-identified as Latino, Latina, Lakota, Jewish, Hispanic, African American, Middle Eastern, Mexican, Mexican-American, Black, mixed-race, and/or white.
  • the primary language(s) spoken by most attendees was Spanish, Arabic, Lakota, Greek, and English.
  • and 11 registrants used our scholarship option.
