Yoga in the Park

For quality of instruction and due to the unexpected and overwhelming amount of interest in this event, we needed to cap registration at 100 people.

Join us for a free, fun-filled yoga session for the whole family. All you need is a yoga mat or towel, comfortable clothes, and water. Beginners and children are encouraged to attend. Stick around after and enjoy the beautiful playground and build community. This event will be led by FoCMC mom, Krystle and her 3-year-old, Dorian.

Krystle is a full-time mom and part-time yogi. She has been practicing yoga on-and-off for the past four years and hopes to eventually become certified. Her goal is to share yoga and other self-care practices with people of color for healing and empowerment. Dorian is a rambunctious 3-year-old who loves Paw Patrol and french fries. He enjoys doing yoga with his mom. His favorite yoga pose is the three-legged downward dog. You can find Krystle and Dorian on Instagram.

• The playground is ADA accessible.
• Bathrooms are available. They are single stalls and two are wheelchair accessible but the doors have to be opened manually. There is no non-binary option.
• There are picnic areas but seating is limited.
• Parking is free.

Donations are encouraged to be made by all attendees.

We are a collective of multiracial + multiethnic families and all of our Community Programs are funded out-of-pocket by us. If you're able to invest in FoCMC and support our efforts to center the needs of families of color and develop equitable access to resources through advocacy, education, and community building, we accept check, cash, and/or money order. Please make payments to: "Families of Color Monterey County". You can also donate via PayPal.
